THE COMPANY

SuperAwesome powers the youth digital media ecosystem. Used by hundreds of brands and content owners, our award-winning technology provides the tools for safer, responsible digital engagement with almost half a billion kids and teens worldwide every month. © SuperAwesome 2013–2023.

THE CHALLENGE

SuperAwesome's target audience has changed a lot through the years. At the beginning, the company's audience was only under 13 year olds. In 2020, we added Young Teens (13-15) to our target audience and started to focus more on the gaming side of the business after being acquired by Epic Games. In 2022, we added older teens (16-19) and we've been even more focused on gaming and the metaverse. For 2023, we're planning on adding young adults (-24) to our target audience and we need to have a visual system that is flexible enough to adapt to all of these audiences seamlessly. We need to look fun, trustworthy, dynamic and playful, and at the same time look like an authority in what we do.

THE SOLUTION

For 4 months, we partnered with HOOK (byhook.com) as our branding agency to develop the visual identity look and feel that we continued to evolve in house, and the strategy that ended up being the pillar to SuperAwesome’s new visual universe. We had working sessions with top executive stakeholders of the company in the UK and US where we delve into our core, roadmap, and mission. We didn't touch the logo, but we updated our fonts, colour palette and imagery. After the strategy and new visual look and feel was defined, I've been leading and managing the roll-out of the project for the company. This includes updating our website, presentation templates, animated videos, social media look and feel, email templates, reports, e-books & webinar graphics, stationery, merch, and more. This is an ongoing project, so it may be updated in the future.
